MAJOR TERROR ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR SINCE 2000
MARCH 21, 2000:
Militants target minority Sikh community in Chattisinghpora village in Anantnag district, kill 36.
AUG 2000:
Thirty-two people, including two dozen Amarnath pilgrims, killed in a terror attack at the Nunwan base camp.
JULY 2001:
Amarnath yatris again targeted, this time at Sheshnag base camp in Anantnag, killing 13.
OCT 1, 2001:
J&K State Legislature Complex in Srinagar was struck by a suicide (fidayeen) terrorist attack, killing 36.
2002:
Terror attack at Chandanwari base camp, 11 Amarnath yatris were killed
NOV 23, 2002:
19 people,including nine personnel,3 women and 2 children, killed in an IED blast in South Kashmir on Jammu-Srinagar NH.
MARCH 23, 2003:
Terrorists killed at least 24 Kashmiri Pandits, including 11 women and 2 children, at Nadimarg village in Pulwama district.
JUNE 13, 2005:
13, including 2 school children, and three CRPF officers killed when an explosives-laden car blew up in Pulwama.
JUNE 12, 2006:
Nine labourers from Nepal and Bihar killed in Kulgam.
JULY 10, 2017:
Attack on Amarnath Yatra bus in Kulgam, 8 killed.
